The thing is: no one cares if your heart is aching or you feel like you’re drowning in your anxieties. They think you’re self centered or attention seeking. But yes, please. People post these things because they are crying out for help. Please, please, someone come give me a hug. Or offer comforting words. Or something to let me know it’s going to get better. I know it will but we need reminders. I know how to stand up and live but sometimes I just need a hug because the day was really hard or I feel like shit. And I promise I will do the same in return.

Hands up if large groups of aggressively loud white boys in your vicinity freak you out
when you yell “puppy!” at a lil dog and they get happy and wag their lil tail like “yess!! i am a puppy!! a baby dog!!! thank you!!!!!!”
When you yell “puppy!!!!” At an old dog and they wag their tail and get all happy like “yes I am still a little dog thank you for noticing! !”
1. Experiment to find what makes you happy – and then spend time doing more of that!
2. Hang out with people who are usually upbeat as we’re influenced by people that we spend time with.
3. When something good happens, then focus on it. Count your many blessings, and practice thankfulness.
